ayurveda v/s modern medicines

Ayurvedic medicines

Whom to blame for ill–health, oneself and no one else!

The diseases like heart attacks, cancer, blood pressure, diabetes were not much prevalent in our ancestors and were rarely heard of. Ever wondered why?

The rich heritage of Vedas has specified living habits and also suggests various combination of food – giving rise to a state of healthy well being. Our ancestors were too intelligent to combine it with the religion and the rituals and the resultant was healthy society. People rarely dare to go against their religion and so the health of the future generations was ensured. In short, the ancestors prescribed that only way to be fit and fine are through Vedas and nothing else.

For generations there were no controversies or comparisons, but then with science being so developed, everyone needs proofs and reasons before doing things, even while following religion.

In conventional treatment, without any tests, by just monitoring and feeling the pulse beats, the disease got detected (imagine the in-depth study required for this). Simple symptoms like stomach acidity, headaches, weakness or minor pain in organs are detected, analysed and treated effectively. These minor symptoms don’t show any abnormalities in lab tests but develops into major diseases later. In short –modern medicines detect and adress the disease at 5th or 6th stage when it has already damaged 80 to 90 percent. Eg. Knee replacement, open heart surgeries, organ replacement etc.. can be detected at primitive stage and the surgeries can be eliminated.

The point to be highlighted is that, ayurveda focuses in prevention of disease and not letting it happen where as modern medicine focuses on curing the disease once it has occurred. Ayurveda understands the reasons for diseases and cures it by working on reasons- making the person healthy soonest and that too without any side effects.
